I looooove watching the Academy Awards. I make tons of snacks and make Tom sit with me for the whole entire show, including the red carpet entrances. It's such a guilty pleasure of mine, but I just love seeing what everyone wears and all the pretty hairstyles.
A few of my favorites..
Michelle Williams is my favorite ( which you probably already know if you frequent this blog ) and her dress was my absolute favorite! I am so in love with the shape, the color, the cute little tutu piece. It's amazing.
Rooney Mara looked so beautiful and simple. Her dress was incredible and I am so digging her hair and makeup. Those bangs are the cutest!
Emma Stone was also looking quite stunning in a gorgeous gown that included a huge bow. I love bows. And the color was so pretty against her skin/hair color.
I really liked Angelina Jolie's look for the night, which is rare because I usually think she dresses a bit too matronly. This dress was such a lovely fit on her, minus her whole leg showing at all time stance. And her hair was such a pretty color and style.
And Ellie Kemper was so stinkin cute with her bangs and her blinging dress. Love!
There were so many more I loved, but I'll stop at these. Who was your favorite look of the night?

Wilmington Day Six- The last day!
Valentine's Day was our last day in NC. Since we had been there for 5 days already, and seen so much, we decided to just spend the day downtown.
And I finally got to see the bridge from One Tree Hill!
We spent our romantic evening at The Oceanic, a gorgeous restaurant that overlooks the ocean. It is located right on Wrightsville Beach. Check our the website- they have a live feed of the beach!
Then, very early in the morning, we started the journey home. Bye Wilmington, you cute little place you.
Thanks for suffering through all of my photos! I feel like that old aunt that makes you sit there and watch her old slide shows for hours on end. You can breathe a sigh of relief now! Back to our regularly scheduled blogging!

Wilmington Day Four
We spend a good part of our day, Sunday, touring the Battleship North Carolina. This thing is seriously huge. We were in there for probably 3 1/2 hours and that included us rushing it towards the end because we were starving.
The tour was all self guided, so you could go at your own pace, which I liked. You start on the deck and work your way down. And when I say down, I mean down through the kitchens, sleeping quarters, engines, guns/ammo rooms, bathrooms. Everything. That thing is HUGE.
After the tour, we ate some delicious New York style pizza, went to a local record store, and then had a cute little date night.

Wilmington Day Three
Saturday February 11th, Tom woke me up early and told me to get dressed so that we could head down to the beach and try to watch the sunrise. So we were dressed in our pj's and out the door by 6:30.
We got to the beach right as the sky was beginning to lighten, but due to the clouds we never got to see the sun come up. We began walking and talking and I decided I wanted to snap a picture of us, so I propped up my camera on my purse, set the timer, and ran over to Tom. As I'm standing there, he gets down on one knee and says "Babe, will you marry me?"
No this following picture is not staged. Haha. It cracks me up.
The camera caught us right as he was beginning to bend down, and my face is priceless.
I had no idea that he was planning this. A ton of my friends were suspicious when I told them how he organized this whole trip, but for some reason I wasn't. I was shocked.
The rest of the day was spent taking pictures of my ring. There were tons of phone calls. And texts.
We did some thrifting. We did some eating. And we just spent the day being super happy.
