a day at the pumpkin patch

One of my favorite things to do in the Fall is go to the pumpkin patch. I love eating lots of pumpkin-y foods, corn mazes, petting zoos, apple cider. So lovely.

Tom and I went to a local pumpkin patch in Alpha, IL called The Country Corner. It is huge and always gets tons of visitors. Barack Obama even came to the farm in August..pretty cool!

It was such a great day. The temperature was in the low 80's, there was a nice breeze, and the whole atmosphere of the place was so fun. I bought lots of apples and squash from their farmers market and I can't wait to cook up some yummy squash with brown sugar tonight!

Tom and I bought a half gallon of homemade apple cider and drank the whole thing while we were walking around and getting lost in the corn maze for what seemed like FOREVER! And we each got some pretty awesome pumpkins..Tom's weighed 132 pounds!

Here are some pictures!

have a nice day!
